The term "dark triad" has been known from psychological and medical research for more than 20 years and since then we have regularly come across it in the media, which report on the spread of this triad of narcissism, Machiavellianism and psychopathy in the world's executive floors and boardrooms. The specialist book by Bergk, Frandrup and Morasch is aimed at people who work in teams, are themselves managers or are involved in optimizing teamwork. It aims to show how people with psychopathic, Machiavellian or narcissistic tendencies act in companies, what effects they have on the team and how various situations can be improved in terms of communication.

One article explores the question of why managers sometimes have to appear narcissistic. Annett Bergk is the owner of the EINFACHkommunikation agency and advises small and medium-sized companies on strategic communication, graphic design and editing and is a lecturer at the Westfälische Hochschule.
Romy Frandrup ist Publizistin und Wirtschaftspsychologin. Sie blickt auf über 15 Jahre Erfahrung in den Bereichen Kommunikation und Marketing zurück und arbeitete für mehrere namhafte Agenturen und Unternehmen in unterschiedlichen Branchen.
Prof. Dr. Christopher Morasch is Professor of Public Relations in the Department of Computer Science and Communication at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences and founder and managing director of digitell.me GmbH, a software company specializing in surveys.
